I normally do not post about anything other than my book's, but I believe this subject is very important for all Americans to understand. I am not an expert on climate change, but I am a thinker with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering and a minor in chemistry. So, I have questions about this push to eliminate carbon (CO2) from our atmosphere when the amount is so minuscule compared to the amount of O2, N2, and H2O (Water Vapor). The fact is CO2 is less than 0.040 percent. Not even 1 percent.
The fact is without CO2 and greenhouse gases Earth’s surface temperature would be about 59 degrees Fahrenheit (33 degrees Celsius) colder as stated in the attached report.

​MY COMMENTS and QUESTIONS:
Water vapor is one Earth’s most abundant gases. I am not sure I agree with everything the NASA report states. However, I do wonder what the truth really is. It is true H2O reacts with CO2 to form harmless carbonic acid. All rainwater usually has a slight percentage of this acid. It is harmless.
Since ice is melting and rivers are running dry where is all this water going? This is what I wonder about. Is the water reacting to remove the CO2 thereby reducing the greenhouse effect.

Brief
Jack Gunn takes on the role of adopted grandfather to a very special boy. Adam, the Grand Master of the Templar Warriors and wielder of the Sword of Jerusalem, holds the future of America's fate in his hands. The sword has special powers since it was forged from metal containing the spikes from the cross of Christ. Together, the two must decipher the sword's ancient clues etched into its blade and find the location of the fated Ark of the Covenant, track it down, and ensure it doesn't end up in the wrong hands.
What We Liked
- The initial draw for this property is the action/adventure/sci-fi premise of a treasure hunt for the Lost Ark. There is a strong sense of division between the states as the US government has recently collapsed, and we get to see a journey through the US as it would take place in the early stages of domestic anarchy.
- The more sci-fi and history elements bring in the Egyptians and Templars of old while suggesting that they once traveled to unsettled America bringing items of religious significance. It is an ambitious tale that has good potential.
- This property seems more suited towards film. Its meaty three arc structure will provide enough variation of action, dialogue and historical lore to keep the audience going into the two - hour mark.
- The story is well divided between the two incidents where the sword is stolen and where Adam is kidnapped. The resolution of the film in the Grand Canyon is a strong enough resolution as is; it could also leave room for a twist and potential future films.

Synopsis
In 2025 US, the government has just collapsed. Jack Gunn meets a man on a hunting trip from the old Templar Knights who tells him that God has asked Jack to protect his two grandchildren. Jack takes the kids back to his compound and learns that the boy, Adam de Molay is the beholder of a powerful artifact known as the Sword of Jerusalem. He is also the last male descendant of Jacques de Molay, the 23rd and last grand master of the Knights Templar, leading the order from 20 April 1292 until it was dissolved by order of Pope Clement V in 1312. The Holy Sword of Jerusalem has been passed down to Adam from his Grandfather.   

A year passes when Adam's Uncle Christian shows up out of nowhere+ to claim the boy. It turns out Christian is a member of the Templar Warrior’s, but he is corrupt. He wants the Sword to study the map etched into its blade. The map supposedly leads to a sacred item known as the Ark of the Covenant brought to the US by the Templars in the 14th Century. Adam approaches his uncle and unsheathes the sword, which shines light down upon them before it strikes Christian dead. The rest of the Templar Warriors bow to Adam as their Grand Master and owner of the sword. This convinces Jack to follow the map and clues etched into the blade to locate the Ark. They assemble a crew and head out on the road. The group must travel from Florida across the southern US states to the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

They travel for several weeks, passing roadblocks and dispatching of evildoers and anarchists in this devolving American landscape. At one point, the sword is stolen. They track down the perpetrators and find they have been burned to death by the light of God that surges through the blade. When Adam and Jack touch the blade, Jack sees his life flash before his eyes. He is deemed worthy and not stricken down by God's light. They continue for several more weeks, working their way through Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. In the Petrified Forest, in Arizona, a man traveling with Adam by the name of White Feather tricks Adam into being captured by a group of Nomads. Jack and his envoy track them down and terminate the nomads, rescuing Adam from certain death. After finding more clues they are sure the Ark in located somewhere in the Grand Canyon.

When they arrive at the Grand Canyon, they realize that the Nomads have been ahead of them since they left New Mexico. They hire a local Indian guide to help them navigate the canyon trails as they search for an ancient Egyptian temple used by the Templars to hide the Ark of the Covenant. After much travel, they arrive to find several dead Nomads, struck down by the light of God, outside a cave located at the Isis Temple, a large rock formation shaped like a giant pyramid. Jack and Adam go in the cave, which is glimmering with a golden light. There they find an altar deep inside the cave but no Ark. After much discussion and searching in the cave to no avail, Adam unsheathes the Sword of Jerusalem to see what will happen. To their great surprise and astonishment, the Ark is presented to them, coming forth from the solid stone altar as if by magic. They decide to protect the Ark, refusing to tell anyone what they have found, and sheath the Sword, sealing the Ark back into the stone altar as it has remained for hundreds of years.

It is a known fact that King Solomon’s treasure and the Ark disappeared when Nebuchadnezzar II invaded Jerusalem in 586 BC. There are no records of the Ark of the Covenant being taken by the Babylonians. If they took it, they would have made it well known. It would have been written in the history books for all to see. So how did the treasure and the Ark disappear into thin air?

Here is where the actual history is stranger than fiction. In 1909, the Phoenix Gazette published a story about a man named Kincaid who found a large cave. In the article, Kincaid claims that he found statues, and gold artifacts that seemed Egyptian in appearance. Kincaid advised he worked for the Smithsonian and sent some of the artifacts to them. Kincaid disappeared never to be seen again. The Smithsonian claims he didn’t work for them, and they have no knowledge about any cave containing artifacts. However, certain parts of the suspected location are strictly off limits to all hikers. Government signs are posted to this day. Also, Smithsonian records have revealed that Kincaid really did work for them in 1909.
